Dog Car Seat Cover & Hammock – Waterproof 6-in-1 Back Seat Protector, Washable

I have a Kia Sportage 2024 and this fits perfectly. I have had it for almost three months and have two SBT boys who get very mucky during our walks, especially as the weather here has meant the ground has been wet and muddy for months! We go out in the car daily. This cover has been amazing, it has saved my car upholstery getting ruined. It is easy to install and also easy to clean. I recently had to contact the seller’s customer service team and they have been so helpful - something I feel is sadly very unusual these days. I cannot recommend highly enough and I am very fussy! I have already ordered another one to have as a spare, just in case!

It is not ideal for a car which has a seatbelt attachment in the centre. If you want to protect the sides/doors as well, you need to have the handles on top of the back door. I have an AUDI TT and although I like the quality of it it has a good fit on the seat per se. When I attach the dog restraints, the protector is pulled sideways, since my seatbelt attachments are central to the seat, and I cannot protect the sides at all, since I have nowhere to support the side strap. the zippers get unzipped very easily. All the time I zipped them up, they got unzipped immediately on the first trip.

I got this seat protector so when my greyhound comes in my dads car I can protect the back seats. The cover is easy to fit with the clip that goes round each of the headrests. Velcro slots allow access to fasten the seatbelts which I’ve used with a different dog seatbelt than the one provided (my other one was elastic and slightly longer but the provided one will act as a spare).
The option to have the front part up is perfect for dogs and the little vision panel in the middle for smaller dogs is great (my dog is big enough to easily see over the top!). I’ve also had my kids come in the car on different one or two occasions so have kept the protector in place just clipped in with the back part (as I think they are actually messier than my dog!).
What I’ve found with the slots for the seatbelts is there are 3 so maybe designed for a slightly bigger car than a Peugeot 206 which isn’t that wide. So if needing to access seatbelts either side I just had to scrunch it up slightly to align them correctly. No big deal as it’s not my main car so only every now and then that the kids would be in my dads car. All in all I’m very pleased with my purchase it’s keeping the car protected when needed but can easily be removed and folded up and stored in the boot when not required.

I bought it as a gamble because I thought it might be rubbish at only £19.99.

It is brilliant.

It is super easy to install & fits both in a 5 door mini sportman, a 3 door Mazda hatchback. It is easier to use in a 5 door, but we use it in a 3 door all the time and it’s still easy.

Our dog prefers it to seat covers we have had in the past because it creates a sort of bucket shape, so there is no way he could slip down the front of the seat, with plenty of space to stretch out and lie down. There is little Velcro gaps which you can fit the doggy seat belt to, and it comes with a free seat belt.

Please use the seatbelt with an appropriate harness, if you clip it onto a collar it will strangle your dog if you have to stop fast or have a car accident.

Our dog shed a lot & this seat protects our fabric seats from all the hair, it is also great for soggy muddy dogs. Because of the zips you can get the dog in/out from either side of the car in either a 5 door or 3 door very easily. It takes 3 minutes to install and the straps can be tightened to alter the fit for most cars so it is nice and tidy (not very large 4x4s I believe). When not in use you can either remove it from the car, or we just unzip the sides and fold it down.

The viewing panel in between the seats is great for making sure your dog is okay.

Just got this yesterday and already it’s a must have. I have a very nervous rescue dog who usually cowers in the footwell or gets travel sick. This is a game changer. Used it for the first time yesterday and already I had a much calmer dog who sat up for most of the journey and was interested in looking out of the window. My other half just bought the same one for his car as well. It fits my Mini Countryman just fine. The mesh at the front and built in pockets to keep a lead, treats etc are really useful and a great add on. It has many zips so you can adapt the hammock in various ways. I really can’t believe the value and its usefulness. You also get a seatbelt clip to attach to your pet’s collar.

My only negative comment is that it has a relatively shiny, firm surface. My dog slid all over it yesterday. I’ll see how we get on with a blanket but imagine that will slide right off.
